Victoria

But most of my friends end up calling me Tori - I'll happily answer to either! I am the owner, planner, and maker behind Honeybee Events. With backgrounds in community theatre production, catering management at the University of Michigan, and manual labor as a residential painter, and after helping to plan my best friend's 2017 wedding, I stumbled my way into the fantastical, exhausting, utterly insane, and absolutely fulfilling world of weddings.
In the spring of 2018, I put my Entrepreneurship BBA to use and started my first business. After 6 years and one global pandemic, we've learned, grown, cried, laughed more, and become the recognized bespoke wedding planning company we are today.

“I don’t know how you do it…”

... people often remark to me, both seriously and incredulously. The secret is that some days I don't know either! And that's okay :) My calm nature and people-driven attitude brings a refreshing and much needed laid-back approach to wedding planning. I've found that being honest, up-front, and unerringly kind and empathetic with everyone gives the world the best version of myself, and that's who you can expect answering your emails and showing up on your wedding day.
When I’m not running Honeybee Events, you can('t) find me --
  • making craft candles with my twin flame - check out our shop if you like great smells and good causes. we proudly donate 3% of all profits to a rotating charity
  • lost in the forest. hiking in nature, absolutely in love with unique and old trees
  • asking to pet your dog
  • hanging out with my niece on Tuesdays
  • learning to rollerskate (quads not inlines) or out with my paddleboard
  • watching too much media - movies, series, anime, so many things on my watchlist, so little time. . .

As well as being our in-house officiant, you may see Caroline's bright, happy face assisting me on your wedding day. A girl with true FOMO and someone who makes friends everywhere she goes, Caroline is always ready and willing to jump in and help.
As undergrads in our small and often male-dominated program, we've come from term-project buddies to best of friends, to inevitable business associates! I am a proud dogmother (not godmother) to her two pups and get the best snuggles from them.
Caroline's wanderlust will often take her
  • traveling, solo or with a group, to far away countries
  • across town to check out every new cafe and cocktail spot
  • to parks and nature preserves to enjoy the outdoors and let loose the dingos
  • listening to a comedy-forward murder or true-crime podcast

This is my uncle Phil and my dad Tim

Two of my biggest supporters and not just emotionally. Phil is a talented woodworker and Tim is a metalworker. They have helped me make innumerable projects; metal arbors for your ceremonies, yard games for your receptions, if you commission any custom work from Honeybee Events, there's a good chance these guys lent a hand in crafting it. If you see them helping out at your event be sure to say hi!

This is my partner Andrew

My high school sweetheart and other half for 10 years and counting. An unyielding source of support in my life, Andrew is regularly volunteered (without his knowledge) to lend a hand at events whenever he's needed. You may not see him on event days, but he probably lugged my massive toolbox to my car for me, if nothing else.
